Director of James River Singers, a semi-professional choral ensemble in Richmond, and an active choral clinician, Dr. Riehl has appeared with honor choirs in Pennsylvania and Kentucky.  He has performed as tenor with the Robert Shaw Festival Singers and as a member of the UR Vocal Quartet.  His research includes an anthology of the unpublished songs of Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, to be published by Alfred Publishing. He is currently preparing MOZART:  A Conductor's Guide to the Sacred Works.
