President Emeritus and University Professor Ronald A. Crutcher, a national leader in higher education and a distinguished classical musician, has received the American Association of Colleges and Universities President’s Award for Outstanding Contributions to Liberal Education.

Jennifer Cable, professor of music, received the 2025 Distinguished Faculty Service Award from the University of Richmond at Colloquy.

Andy McGraw was promoted to professor of music. He has published extensively on Southeast Asian music, music and ethics, and rhythmic analysis. He is an active performer and directs a gamelan orchestra for the Richmond community.

Linda Fairtile, the Head of Parsons Music Library, participated in a panel discussion about composers Giacomo Puccini and Arnold Schoenberg at "The Schoenberg-Puccini Connection: A Centennial Celebration in Music and Dialogue," jointly sponsored by New York University's Deutsches Haus and Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò.

Stefan Greenfield-Casas, visiting assistant professor in music theory, published "Video Games Alive: Ludic Liveness and (Re)playful Listenings in Video Game Music Concerts" in The Oxford Handbook of Video Game Music and Sound.

Stefan Greenfield-Casas, visiting assistant professor in music theory, published "On Musical Memories, Monuments, and Museums: Review of Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestral Arrangement Album" in the Journal of Sound and Music in Games.

Jessie Fillerup, associate professor of music, published "Marimbo Chimes and the Wizard's Monster Band: Music in Theatrical Magic Shows," in the journal Music & Letters.

Joanna Love, associate professor of music, was named a 2022 recipient of the University’s Distinguished Educator Award at the annual Colloquy celebration.
