Camp Concert Hall
Camp Concert Hall in the Booker Hall of Music is the central performance venue for student ensembles, faculty recitals, and guest musicians, and musical presentations of the Modlin Center for the Arts. The concert hall boasts crystal-clear acoustics, two Steinway concert grand pianos (a Hamburg and a New York), and a stage that is 27 feet deep and 58 feet wide. The hall is specifically designed for music, and it is one of the premiere halls to play and record in on the East Coast due to its sophisticated acoustical design. With a maximum capacity of 576 seats, it is an ideal concert venue for such large ensembles as the University Orchestra, University Band and University Choir, and even the Richmond Symphony.

Perkinson Recital Hall
Perkinson Recital Hall is home to many music department events, including student recitals, lectures and rehearsals. The venue seats approximately 150 audience members. Two pianos and one of the department’s harpsichords are available for rehearsals and performances. Dressing rooms and a green room are located backstage. With its high vaulted ceiling, charming Elizabethan ambiance, and excellent natural acoustics, Perkinson is a popular venue for our community.

The chapel boasts lively acoustics, an impressive von Beckerath two-manual mechanical action pipe organ, and 80-seat choir loft. More than 600 people can see a performance together in the chapel.
