Ensembles

Nearly 200 students enroll each semester in faculty-led ensembles, all of which are open to all student musicians, regardless of major. 

Students receive academic credit for participating. Students can fulfill the Field of Study, Visual and Performing Arts (FSVP) or the Visual and Performing Arts Inquiry (AIVP) general education requirements by successfully completing two semesters  in the same 0.5-unit ensemble. Students on the Web of Inquiry curriculum will also complete the Embodied Communication requirement after just one semester in an ensemble. 

All ensembles perform on campus each semester and several groups tour internationally from time to time. Contact the ensemble director for more information about auditions, or click the ensemble link to the left to find out more about the group.
